The Science of Teaching Reading: Improving Literacy and Learning for All Students
Dr. Tortorelli of Michigan State University will describe what the science of reading tells us about how children learn to read words, and what the science of teaching reading tells us about how classroom literacy instruction. She will discuss a few myths about teaching aligned with the science of reading, what research actually says, and key things to look out for you in your high quality instructional materials aligned with the science of reading.
